Dr. Raghavendra R, Programme Coordinator for NSS at Seshadripuram College, and founder of Achievers’ Academy, leads efforts to restore temples and revive lakes in Srirangapatna. With a team of 300 volunteers, he has transformed small-scale initiatives into a powerful community-driven movement focused on cultural and environmental preservation.
Episode 5 of Season 2 of our podcast “Talk in the Town”, features Dr. Raghavendra R, a dedicated community leader who serves as the Programme Coordinator for the National Service Scheme (NSS) at Seshadripuram Degree College in Mysuru. In addition to his role at NSS, Dr. Raghavendra is the founder of Achievers’ Academy in Srirangapatna, where he actively engages in community-driven initiatives aimed at preserving the region’s cultural and environmental heritage.
For the past four years, Dr. Raghavendra has been at the forefront of efforts to restore temples, and revive lakes and ponds in Srirangapatna. What initially started as a small-scale initiative under the NSS programme has now grown into a robust community movement. Under his leadership, the project has attracted a group of 300 committed volunteers who work tirelessly to breathe new life into the city’s historical and natural assets.
