Investing in the Next Generation
"When we have lesser money in our bank, we tend to save and hold back that money for a time we might require it the most. So, why do we not treat our environment in the same way?"
In the 3rd episode of Season 2 of our podcast “Talk in the Town”, features Ms. Sukhprit Kaur, the Founder Trustee of Aranya Outreach Trust in Mysore. A dedicated freelance environmental educator and content writer, Ms. Kaur has nearly two decades of experience in promoting environmental awareness. Driven by a vision to foster a deeper connection with nature, she, along with other like-minded citizens of Mysore, founded Aranya Outreach Trust—a social enterprise that aims to educate people about biodiversity, particularly through nature walks.
The trust focuses on engaging the community, especially children, to develop a sense of responsibility toward the environment. By encouraging people to think of natural resources as a bank balance maintained for our survival, Ms. Kaur hopes to inspire more mindful and sustainable living. In this episode, she shares her journey from concept to community action, discussing how nurturing a love for nature can have a lasting impact on preserving biodiversity.
