City Vision Document - Cooch Behar
₹0.00
Every city has its own rhythm. Cooch Behar is no different. It
is a city where the past and the present exist side by side in a
way that is difficult to describe but very easy to feel. When you
walk through the city, you see old buildings from the era of the
kings, and right next to them, new malls, cinema halls, and
supermarkets. When you sit near Sagardighi in the evening,
you see elderly people walking slowly along the ghats, young
students eating momos, and office-goers passing through after
a long day. All of this is happening at the same time, in the
same space. That is Cooch Behar.
This document is an attempt to capture that. Not just the
physical city, but the living city, the one that is shaped every
day by the people who study here, work here, grow up here,
and grow old here. The voices in this document belong to
students, autorickshaw drivers, teachers, nursing students,
healthcare workers, shopkeepers, and ordinary residents. Their
experiences are not all the same. But together, they tell us
something important about what Cooch Behar is, and what it
could become.
